Our Mission:
The Academy at TMTC furthers The Company mission of expanding the musical theatre canon by empowering young people as future leaders of the field. The Academy recognizes musical theatre as a hybrid art form, and strives to engage young people as multi-faceted musical theatre artists who understand the way stories are made, shared, and understood.
The Academy tasks young participants to work together as collaborators, performers, designers, directors, choreographers, musicians, and storytellers, inviting them to engage with the complexity of the art form as artists – creating, shaping, and experimenting.
